The Zoo

My house is a zoo. It's all chaos and craziness and poop and barking and puking and insanity and hair. LOTS AND LOTS OF HAIR!! This blog is called "Only in My House" because I swear that things that happen on a daily basis with my pets only happens to me. Nobody else has these issues. I know they seem hard to believe, some of them, but all of it is true. And I've found that if I don't laugh when these things happen, I'll cry. I know it sounds like I may be bitching, and some days I do, but I wouldn't trade any of these animals for anything. Well, maybe the evil spider, no, not even her.

These guys are my life, my friends, my family, my best friends. I worry endlessly about them, spend my last penny on/for them, and would be lost without them. I hope you enjoy this blog and you are welcome to laugh at our misfortune.

Dog Pair #1-The Puggles.

Pug/Beagle hybrid. Designer dogs. Overpriced Mutts.

My puggles are the two dogs I've had the longest. Bailey is 11 years old and BoJangles is going to be 9. There are days I tell them both they are so lucky to have made it this long. Whoever thought that breeding these two breeds together was a good idea, must have never had to live with them. Here is a list of their cons, first.

  • Smart- WAAAAY too damn smart.
  • Neurotic- Bo has Obsessive/Compulsive tendencies and Bailey is obsessed with my dad.
  • Walking appetite-they will literally eat until they puke, then eat the puke, then fight over each others puke to eat. Oh and don't forget the shit eating. Of all species.
  • Housebreaking- HA! Yeah right.
  • Rude- Oh the stories I will tell!
So, why, you may ask, would I want a puggle, let alone two?

These wrinkled faces!!

Shut up with all that cuteness!

Handsome!!

Oh the sadness.

Silliness

A mini me!

Yes, I know one should never get a dog on looks. But come on, these looks are too damn cute for words! Bailey, the fattest one, was just a head as a baby. She was so tiny! BoJangles won my heart by licking my nose when I picked him up the first time. He's such a goon, a total ladies man and he knows it. And, puggles are some of the sweetest lovebugs you will ever come across. They want nothing more than to love you (and eat) and be with you (and eat) and be your best friend (and eat what you're eating). That makes up for the rest, sort of.
